Quill Knife and other type of pocket knives

A knife is one of the tools that in my opinion a civilization could not live without. Even during prehistoric times a stone tool, the precursor of the knife, was used mainly for gathering food and other day to day activities of the clan. It is a process that ensures the survival of mankind during those time. Even at modern times every homes own a set of knife as part of the tools that are essential in running the household. A knife serves many purpose as it is not only relegated for household utility but for commercial, industrial and military use as well. Of all the type of knives a pocket knife is the most prevalent. There are a sub categories or patterns of pocket knives to name a few; pen knives, multi-blade pocket knives and quill knife. A quill knife is a small pen type of knife used for trimming writing quills. It has blades like a tiny jack knife opening only at one end. While a “multi-blade pocket knife,” commonly known as the Swiss Army knife,” has existed for over 100 years and was once called to as a sportsman’s knife because of its multi-use nature.

And whatever kind of endeavor you are into there will always be a knife that is specifically created for that purpose. It is a tool that somehow helped mankind flourished on the face of the planet.
